Ana grew up in Belgrade with dreams of studying computer science at a top university. With limited family resources, she thought her dreams were out of reach until she discovered the Balkan Scholars Foundation.

Today, Ana works as a software engineer at a major tech company and mentors new scholars in our program.
Stefan's research on sustainable farming practices in the Balkans was made possible by our Graduate Research Grant. His work is now helping farmers in his home country improve crop yields while protecting the environment.

Stefan recently published his research in a leading agricultural journal and started a nonprofit to implement his findings.
